Boeing said to eye exit from Sea Launch consortium
Boeing Co. is expected to pull out of Sea Launch, the bankrupt rocket-launch venture it helped to found in 1995. "Based on what Boeing has said to us, I don't expect them to commit any more capital to this venture," says Sea Launch President Kjell Karlsen, who expects Boeing to continue as a supplier to the consortium. Analysts said Sea Launch could find it difficult to emerge from bankruptcy protection early next year if it cannot find new investors to replace the Boeing stake. Los Angeles Times (11/12)
