Latest Boeing Dreamliner Takes Flight

The Seattle Post Intelligencer (2/25, Cohen) "Aerospace" blog reports, "Boeing's fourth 787 Dreamliner was flawless in its first flight, the plane maker reported Wednesday." Boeing's third Dreamliner will take its first flight later this month. The fourth Dreamliner flew first "because Boeing needs the data it is collecting more quickly for certification and development of the 787-9." The ZA004 test plane will be used to "test aerodynamics, high-speed performance, propulsion performance, flight loads, community noise and extended operations (ETOPS), among other things."
