Governors get involved in tanker competition
Lobbying efforts regarding the decision on who will win the bid for the Pentagon's $35 billion aerial-refueling tanker competition have moved to the states, with nine governors backing a Boeing tanker. Northrop Grumman has meanwhile reached out to Maryland and other states seeking support for a plan to build tankers from both companies in order to support jobs in their states.
